In advance of the Thunder of Niagara 2015 Air Show, featured performers U.S Air Force Thunderbirds and U.S. Army Golden Knights will be visiting the local community.

On Thursday, July 16 from 2:00 – 3:00 PM, members of the U.S. Army Golden Knights parachute demonstration team will be visiting with students in the Summer Art Program at the Buffalo Center for Arts and Technology. The Golden Knights will be conducting a hands-on parachute demonstration as well as showing an exciting video with highlights of their mission.

They will also be available to answer any questions the students may have about the Army. On Friday, July 17 from 9:00 – 10:00 AM, members of the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds aerial demonstration team will meet with campers, counselors and staff from Camp Kenan in Barker, N.Y. During this time the Thunderbird team will present a video of their mission and answer any questions that the campers may have about the Air Force and life as a member of the Thunderbird team.

These types of visits to local communities are a way for these teams to educate, recruit and thank the community for their support of our servicemen and women.

Media interested in covering either of these events should contact the 914th Airlift Wing Public Affairs Office at 716-236-2139 for further information.
